Synopsis via Goodreads:

Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

My Review:

Holy freaking amazing emotional novel that blew my mind! Eeeeek!

I've found a new fictional boyfriend AND a new Beloved! I abso-freaking-lutely LOVED this book!

I COULD.NOT.PUT.IT.DOWN.

Forgive me if this review is literally all OVER the place. LoL I don't know where exactly to start and what parts to tell and what parts to skip...

So you have this girl, Avery, who leaves her home state and goes all the way to what sounds like a old, historical little college town so she can (hopefully) escape the horrible past that completely ruined her high school life (and literally almost ended her life). It's like she can run far enough.... she ends up still getting these absolutely horrible emails and "Unknown Caller" voice messages. >_< I want to jump through the phone and teach these horrible bullies a lesson! Grrrrrr....

Avery... poor freaking Avery... I adored this girl! I wanted to stand up and do cheers for her so I could help her move on in life. I was so connected with Avery that it's completely insane. To know that she's left traumatized after what happened to her at the Halloween Party when she was 14 just breaks your heart and makes you ANGRY! I HATE her parents... like Loathe... Hate.... Wouldn't spit on them if they were on fire... I'd probably throw a little more gas on the fire... >_< Grrrrrrrr And her supposed best friend from high school... Ugh... It really makes you thankful for the best friends that you have. As much as I hate to say it, things like this have probably occurred... More times than I'd want to think about...

So she takes the blood money she's now able to touch since she's 18 and all, furnishes an apartment to call all her own, and starts classes. She just about goes into a panic attack because she's running late for her very first class (Astronomy) on her very first day of her very first year at college. She barrels through the door to the building and WAM! Runs smack into the back of Mr. Hottie - Cam. *Swoon*

You automatically love this guy. He has this absolutely (I've said that word a lot in this review, LoL) adorable little cocky confidence - NOT the annoying "I'm going to smack this guy in the head if he doesn't pull his head out of his own Ass" cockiness. He's got this cute cocky confidence about him. Love him! He makes you chuckle, giggle, near snort at times (Pet turtle Raphael! HA!) and seriously swoon... like pick your jaw up off the floor swoon... *Excuse me while I wipe the drool off of my chin due to picturing this hot bod and sun tattoo*

Well, Cam absolutely adores Avery... from the very beginning, he's determined she's going to go out on a date with him... he asks her out for MONTHS straight... they become pretty much best friends, inseparable... I <3 Them.

I can't forget Jacob & Brit. Or Ollie & Jase. The characters are amazing.

So, okay, I'm seriously just rambling... I told you, this review was going to be all over the place because I LOVED this novel and I don't want to say certain things and cause a spoiler alert... Gaa I have a love/hate relationship for writing reviews on novels that blow me away Hahaha. ^_^

Alright, so, focus Kayla...

Other than the characters, the plot moves at a great pace, the emotional and personal growth of Avery keeps you cheering for her and rooting her on, and the fun little quirks of Cam keep you laughing and loving.

The ending is perfect. I can't really think of any other way I would've wanted it to end. Hurdles are jumped, walls are moved, and certain things become abso-freaking-lutely beautiful.

I honestly wish I could go back to college, take astronomy, and pray I run smack into a version of Cam... LoL

Get this book!
